can two of the same signs work out between two dogs

My mother is trying to set me up with a nice man who is a dog born in the WUXU Year and I'm a dog of the GENGXU Year. We are also both Taurus with our birthdays being only two days apart. Is it too much of a coincidence? Is It possible I might have a chance at happiness for once in my life? Thanky you Linda from USA
