I am looking to rent a room or cheap Hotel Guangzhou in May

There is a Huiyin Hotel around 800m from the Canton Fair site. It is a budget one! Besides, you may also consider the Seven Day Inn, which is around 2.4km from the site.

There are lots of houses here, just depend on how much you want to afford.

7Days in 200 dollar is really very limit, but if you are familiar with it, you can find a good one with this price.

such as seven days, but maybe for 7 days maybe around 200-250 dollars!
