About:Mt. Hengshan

Hengshan Town from Tunxi, Anhui

I am visiting Hunan in Mid Feb and want to base myself as close to mountain as possible, can you recommend a good Hostel or cheap hotel in HS Town. And I know I can get the K224/K221 from Tunxi (Anhui province) to Hengyang , but is there a train from Tunxi all the way to HS town.
I travel from Tankou,Anhui on 14th Feb to HS,

You should know that Hengshan County is right in Hengyang City and this is the only train running from Tunxi to Hengyang. After getting off from the train no. K224/K221, you can take local public bus to Hengyang Bus Station, where there are direct buses to HS and the Mt. scenic area.

It will be easy to find a cheap hostel/hotel in HS county, such as XinSanYuan Hotel, Nanyue Loushao Yijiaqin Hotel, and Nine Day Business Hotel.
