About:Tibet Travel

Nyingchi and surroundings

We paln to visit Nyinchi area in May 2014,and plan to have a look at the Tsangpo gorge entrance, do we need a special permit to travel Nyingchi district? Thank you for your assistance.

Yes, the travel permit is needed.

Yes, all foreigners who visit Tibet area must acquire the Tibet Travel Permit in advance. And they should join a group tour because individual foreign travelers are not allowed to enter Tibet.
