In my opinion, two days are too short for the two places.
In my opinion, after you reach the HK, you can directly reach the Star of Avenue and then travel around the Tsim Sha Tsui area. There the Temple Street and the Ladies Market are suggested to go.
Then the next day, you can spend on the Ngong Ping 360 and the Peak. After that if you still have time, it is suggested to go to the Causeway Bay to have a look.
On the next morning, you can take the ferries for Macau and cover almost all the attractions in that city in one day and go back at late afternoon. It is suggested to take your luggage to Macau on the next day, so after that you can take the ferry for HKIA directly from Macau.
