How to tour the bridge area from Guiling

Hello,
Just discovered the Chengyang Bridge. Beautiful. Would like to know, going from say Guilin for a weekend. Any tour operator recommendations? How far is it from Guilin (distance, drive time....). Thanks. Will likely be on a week trip to Guilin area later this year, so we plan to stay a few more days to explore Chengyang Bridge....

Hi, the bridge scenic area is around 180km from Guilin city and it takes around 2.5h to drive there. I just know many tour agancies in Guilin arrange tours to the bridge, so you can easily find one.

Thanks Ed (Germany), I presume you mean you believe there are many travel operators in Guilin that can do? In that case, I will have to wait until I get to Guilin. I am arranging a 5-day Guilin trip. After the immediate area, I will want to see that bridge.... I don't know if I'll have time to arrange after I get there though.... It'd be good if someone can recommend some tour operators in Guilin, and can take me to see the bridge perhaps same-day even. Thanks again.

I highly recommended you to turn to TravelChinaGuide.com for help.
One of my friend joined their tour to Sanjiang last year and it is wonderful and I saw this bridge from the pictures they took.
If you ask them to arrange the tour, you can get everything already before you reach China. They will arrange car, driver and the tour guide to accompany you to travel.
Their email address is travelchinaguide.com|tours or you can call them directly at 1-800-315-3949. Oh, forget to tell you that recently they probably have a discount for most of the itineraries.

Thanks Dorris. Appreciate it. I actually just got a quote. They quoted me like $465 for an overnight arrangement, car/driver/lodging.... I thought it was pricey, so I will look into more outfits. The reason I said it's expensive is that China travel I thought should be lower-priced than other places based on my experience. For example, they now have 1-week to 8 days of tour to famous Chinese destinations (Guilin, Kunming, Beijing....) for US $99 (yes, $99, not misprint), all-inclusive in-China cost (you pay for the airfare to get there) for NORTH AMERICAN Chinese (Canada included). that's 4-star hotels.... tho such trips I personally don't like (not really good "travel" for me. But, for the money, it's mighty great a deal. $465 for overnight I thought was trying to "get" the rich American tourist kind of a deal. I am Chinese by birth, and know China well enough I believe.

Will see. Thanks for your suggestion. Certain I hope I will find a more reasonable supplier. Shop around, I guess.
