how to go from hangzhou train station to west lake

Question

Is there a metro connectivity from the Hangzhou station to west lake ? Which line number I should take ?Also, if there is a bus connectivity, which bus number should I take to go to west lake and then which bus number to come back to HZ train station ?Within west lake, can we walk and cover the west lake or need to take bus to cover the entire area ? Thanks.

By Metro line 1, you can travel from the train station to Longxiangqiao Station. Get out from exit C of the subway station and you can walk to West lake in several minutes. By bus, bus no. 7 is suggested and you need to get off at Shaoniangong or Broken Bridge (Duanqiao) Station. For the back journey, you can use the same way.
