About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

Moving form South Africa

Hi, I am a South African citizen looking to move to Hong Kong. I am a professionally qualified accountant and will look for work upon my arrival. Will I be able to stay for 30 days, go to Macau for a day or and come back for another 30 days? And is there a limit to how many times I can do this?

Thank you.

Hi, this is true you are allowed free entry, but you can not use it frequently during such a short time. You are advised to apply for a HK Visa for the second entry.

Thanks, is it difficult to get a HK visa? I will be looking for work while I'm in HK and this might take a couple of months. I therefore want to ensure that I'll be able to stay there for at least 3 to 4 months.

I don't think so, you can apply for extension of your stay at the end of 30day free stay. It is possible to stay for 3 or 4 months as you need.
