chengdu - giant buddha - mount emei

Question

I got a whoooole day in Chengdu, planned on visiting Giant Buddha then found this Mount Emei. Is it possible to go to Giang Buddha & the mountain for only a day. And if somebody wouldn't mind telling me the way from Chengdu to Leshan & that mountain by Bus if it's possible.

From CD Xinnanmen Bus Station, there are direct buses for Leshan Xiaoba Bus Station. From Xiaoba Bus Station, you can take a taxi to Gaint Buddha attraction. Then you can go back to the Xiaoba Bus Station to take buses for Mt Emei. But in my opinion, one day is not enough for both the Buddha and the Emei Mount.
