Hi, if you get married with a Chinese, then you are able to apply for Q1 visa, the Q1 is issued for longer stay, and you need to apply for a residence permit after entry, which will be issued with a maximum of 5 years and it can be extended.

China issues a one year visa currently. I'm on one now. A new one can be gotten before expiry. You do have to leave the country and return with the new one.
