About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Travelling from Fukuoka to Hong Kong via Shanghai

Hi there,

I'm a French traveller doing travel in Asia, starting with Japan. I will leave Fukuoka to go to Hong Kong via Shanghai where I will stay 24 hours. During this time I want to visit the city of Shanghai, can I use the 72 hours visa transit?

Thanks

Yes, sure. You can apply for the free transit permit after arrival at the airport.
