About:How long is the Great Wall of China?

how long did the Great Wall take to build? and why did they build it?

because im doing a report on it and i need thi tpye of information.

Its total construction duration shall be over 2,000 years.

They are all built to protect the people and territories south of the wall from a continued threat of invasion by the northern nomadic tribes.
