About:GW05

I want to take gondola up, walk down to tower 6 or 4, then walk down to parking lot. Is that possible?

You can take the cable car up and take the slide way down if you are interested. The cable car takes you to No. 14 tower and you may walk to No. 6 tower for slideway down to the foot of the wall. Then walk to the parking lot.

Yes, I know that, but I want to walk down..don't think I would like the slide....just want to walk down from there as opposed to walking all the way back for the gondola. I also don't do open chairlift things...too open for my fear of heights.

There are two cableways at Mutianyu, one is open car and the other is closed car. You can take the closed cable car up and walk down to the parking lot.

Can I walk DOWN using the south or north path? Which would be the quickest way down to the parking lot? Thanks

Both are ok. Actually, there are two ticket offices near the parking lot, one is the south and the other is the north. They are not far from each other. If you want to take the closed cable car, you will need to walk a little more to the ticket office on the north. This cable car takes you to the No. 14 Building, from where you can climb to No. 20 Building. After that, return to No. 14 Building for cable car or walk to No. 10, 8, 6 Buildings to climb down along the footpath. No. 10 Building is the nearest one from the top, so you can get down from there if you do not want to walk more.
