About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Chicago-Beijing-Sing-Shanghai-Chicago

I am a US citizen. I am planning on flying from Chicago to Singapore via Beijing, and from Singapore to Chicago via Shanghai. Can I utilize the free transit for both Beijing and Shanghai?

Yes, you can take advantage of the free transit both in Beijing and Shanghai if your stopover is less than 72 hours each time. Make sure to prepare flight tickets in advance.
