how to take a rail road travel from Kaohsiung?

we are planning to have a railroad travel for 1 to 2 days from Kaohsiung, where can we purchase the ticket? we will bring some of our family member, is there any pass that we need to prepare before the travel?

Hi, you can buy the tickets for railroad on the spot in Kaohsiung.
I remember there is a kind of transportation card named Kaohsiung Rapid Transit there, which will make your travel much more convenient, but not sure whether you can book that in advance.
