Hello I am planning a short trip to Yunnan right after Chinese New Year, going to Xishuangbanna from Shanghai on February 12th, and then go to Kunming on Feb 14th and back to Shanghai on Feb 16th.

In XSBN, I recommend the Tropical plant Research Insititute, Dai People Park, Wild Elephant Valley and Nationality Culture Park. If you wanna fully enjoy yourself, you'd better hire a tour guide or join a tour. On the way to Kunming, you can also drop in Puer City, where the Mt. Awa is worthy. In Kunming, the local Stone Forest, Western Hills and Dianchi Lake, and World Horticultural Expo Garden cannot be missed.

and one more question: we would like to go also to Yuanyang terraces, any idea of buses connecting xishuanbanna to there?
