About:China Tourist Visa

will I still be able to apply for a visa?

I am wanting to live and work in China but I do not know anyone there neither have a job invitation.

If you plan to work in PRC, you should find an employer that is qualified for recruiting foreigners. With the help of your employer, you can apply for a work permit first. Then you can apply for the Z type together with the work permit.
