About:China Customs Declaration

Bringing back Ginseng from Canada to China

Hi,

I will be coming home to China, during Chinese New Year. I am planning on buying some Canadian ginseng for my grand parents. Is it allowed to bring back ginseng? If yes, is there a max limited amount?

I just know it is forbidden to take frech Ginseng into China.

If you are taking dried Canadian Ginseng to China is ok not a problem. But if you are taking fresh Ginseng, this is not allowed since it is a plant product that is not allowed into China.
