About:China High Speed Train

I am wanting to get from Shanghai to Chengdu next January. By the listing above, it seems like the Shanghai to Chengdu rail should be open, but I cannot get any quotes on tickets, it keeps directing me to K lines. So I take it the line is not yet open. Is there an ETA as to when this line opens, or should I just book a flight?

As far as I know, there are only some regular rails from Shanghai to Chengdu at present.

I asked someone and it seems that particular high speed rail is opening in "Late January, but don't bet your house on it". Looks like I will have to fly *sigh*
