How to go to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 in HKIA

My friend and I will arrive at the same day but different time. I will wait for her in the airport. But I will arrive in terminal 1 and she will arrive in terminal 2. How will we meet inside the airport? are we allowed to go to different terminals upon arrival? thank you.
