whether i required transit visa?

I am travelling from San fransico to Kolkata via Sanghai-Pu Dong Apt. (PVG) and Kun Ming (KMG). Halt time in PVG is 2 hrs 25 mts. and in KMG is 23 hrs 35 mins and return through same route & halt time in PVG is 2 hrs 30 mins & in KMG is 3 hrs 35 mins.I have valid Indian passport, USA visa & Air tickets for destinations. I will not leave airport and I will have only hand bagagges.Pl helpThanks (Bivabasu Malik)India

You should apply for a transit type one for your trip from San Fransico to Kolkata since you stay more than 24 hours in PRC. For your return trip, you just need to apply for the stay permit when you land at the first Chinese airport (Kunming or Shanghai) because you stay less than 24 hours.
