December is winter and the weather is very cold in most parts of the country. However, it is not a problem for you to visit except for the Li River and Yangtze River cruise due to the low water level. If you like snow, Harbin is a good place to see the snow sculptures. Besides, Sanya, Xiamen, Kunming, Hongkong are all popular tourist cities in winter.
