danxia landform 2nd week of januray

Question

Hello, I want to visit the Danxia Landform the second week of January. I am aware it will be VERY cold and I'm prepared for that, but is it usually cloudy or rainy during this time? I currently live in Chengdu and it's usually cloudy during winter. I know you can only really see the beauty of the mountains if it's sunny, and weather is difficult to predict, but what's the weather like in this city usually during January? Thank you!
