Hi, I'm serge travelling from Australia to Cameroon return ticket via china

I'm traveling from Australia to Cameroon with a Cameroon passport, I will be having a transit of 6 hrs at Guangzhou airport (China) on my return from Cameroon to Australia in a month time. Do I need to apply for a transit visa for the chinese part of my journey?
