About:Jiankou Great Wall

Is it possible travel from Beijing to Jiankou, hike a good part of the wall, and return to Beijing on the same day?

I see that the travel time takes around 3 hours from Dongzhimen, so I guess I'm wondering how much time would be appropriate to spend at JK to get a good sense of that part of the wall. Thanks!!

It is possible by taxi or rented car or van. but is hard to make it by public transportation.
Anyway, to have a great enjoyment at the wall section, around 5h is suggested.
