About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

where to get transit permit?

Im Australian travelling through Shanghai with a 24 hour stop over. Where can we apply for the free transit permit? is it better to get it from the Chinese Consulate in LA before we go?

No, you can easily get this permit after arrival at the airport showing your passport and flight ticket.
