About:China Visa on Arrival

VOA Shenzen for Indian (arr from HK)

Hi,

I am visiting my sister who is a permanent HK resident. I will be flying into HK from India and staying with her for a month. We want to visit China, maybe just Shenzen; can I still apply for VOA at Lo Wu? I remember they had closed this facility for certain nationalities (India, for sure) in anticipation of the Olympics in 2008.

Thanks,
Sav

Hi, if you got Chinese visa before from Chinese embassy or consulate, you can apply for VOA at Luohu port. Otherwise, you have to apply for a full Chinese visa in advance.

Thanks Lori. I've only made the trip to Shenzen with a VOA in the past, so no I have not got a visa through the embassy. Appreciate the prompt reply, thanks again.

Hi Sav, if you got VOA before, it is ok for you to get one this time as well. So, take it easy.
