Best time to visit Pingyao

I am planning to visit that old ancient town next year 2014 around 1st Feb to 4th Feb during the Chinese New Year Celebration. Questions : 1. What will be the temperature during those period? 2. Will the shops and restaurant open during festival seasons?

The average temperature during that time is around -5 to 7C.
The shops and restaurants will be open then and it is a great time to visit that old town in Chinese New Year.
