About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Phuket - Shanghai - New York

Hi - we are flying from Phuket to Shanghai then back to New York. we will be in Shanghai for approx one day (we do not want to stay in the airport).Can we do this without a visa under the 72 hour free transit?

Yes, you needn't apply one if you plan to get out of the airport.
