About:China Postal Service

is it expensive to post parcels from one part of China to another? Any restrictions?

I want to send a xmas present to my son who is teaching in Nanning- a set of kitchen knives- chocolate- jewelery nail polish and two spices

It is not very expensive to post parcel within China.
Except the knives, other items can be posted by parcel and you need to wrap the parcels carefully and write the items' names clearly on the surface.

to jolin-thank you for your answer. The knives are in a box unopened -they can be seen through the top cover of the box-they all have sheaves to protect the edges. Why cannot this gift be posted.

Yes, the post rate within China is relatively cheap.
A set of kitchen knives cannot be posted for the sake of safety.
