Transportation from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou n to Lanzhou.

I wanan visit Chengdu, Jiuzhaigou n Danxia. This is my 3rd China trip. What best transportation fron Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou n to Danxia (zhangye ) ? Can I go to Danxia by bus or train directly from Jiuzhaigou.....or I should go from Chengdu to Lanzhou 1st ???? There is fast train to go ( how many hour ?) or I can go by bus (how many hours ?) How can I order train ticket by internet ??? Thanx U very much.

Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou, you can take the direct long-distance bus at Chengdu Xinnanmen Bus Station. It takes 9-10 hours in total.

No direct public transportation is in service from Jiuzhaigou to Danxia, but there is one bus to Lanzhou every morning at 07:00. It takes 10-11 hours and the bus fare is CNY237 per person.

Then from Lanzhou, you can take a train to Zhangye directly and it takes around 4.5h. Upon arrival at Zhangye Railway Station, take local bus no. 4 or take a taxi to local West Bus Station, where there are direct buses to Danxia Landform.

There is flight from Chengdu to Lanzhou, n from Lanzhou to Beijing ?
Thanx U verymuch Ms Gina.... I think 9 - 10 hrs by buss n 4-5 hrs by train its too long... there is flight from JIuzhaiguo to Lanzhou or I sud go back 2 Chengdu again ????If I wana go 2 Beijing by airplane there is flight from Lanzhou ??? I already search from dis website (travelchinaguide) n others...www.ctrip.com or elong.net but there is no flight from Lanzhou to Beijing ??? Plzzz help me 2 find d fastest way from Chengdu to Lanzhou n from Lanzhou to Beijing. One more question.....I wanan visit mount Emei at Chengdu is it beautiful compared than Huangshan mountain ??? if need climb more stairs I think I cudnt do dat....there is cable car at Mount emei ? Bcoz I only have 2 days in Chengdu, I wanan visit Panda breeding n Leishan budha.....bu I think not enough time. Plzzz I need Ur suggestin. Thanx U very much....

Oh, yes. There is airplane service for the two journeys you mentioned: you can fly from Chengdu to Lanzhou in 1h and 15min to 1h and 20min and the flight duration from Lanzhou to Beijing takes around 2h and 10min. For the flights from Lanzhou to Beijing, here they are :

Apart from bus service from Jiuzhaigou to Lanzhou, I'm afraid there is no direct public transportation. You may have to fly from Jiuzhaigou to Chengdu and then to Lanzhou.

Yes, there is cable car service in Mt. Emei and it will take you to the top, Golden Peak of the mountain. Personally, Huangshan is more worthy than Mt. Emei. So if you have visited Mt. Huangshan and also your time in Chengdu is limited, Emei Mountain can be skipped. However, Panda Breeding Center is a must-see spot.

You can hug and play with pandas there as well as take pictures with them, but you have to pay the donation fee. I remember it is around CNY2,000 (300-350USD).

Generally, time is enough to reach the Leshan Buddha in the same day if you go to the panda center in early morning. The buses to Leshan Buddha can be taken at Xinnanmen Bus Station and North Bus Station (Chengbei Bus Station).

At Chengdu, you can also visit Three-Star Piles Museum (Sanxingdui Museum), Jinli Street and Chunxi Road. The surrouding Jiuzhaigou Valley and Huanglong Scenic Area as well as Dujiangyan Irrigation Project.

Thanx U very much 4 Ur nice answer Gina. There r 2 places panda breeding at Chengdu which 1 is d best and worthy to visit ? can we play, touch and cuddle pandas ? Its enough time half day viist then go to Leishan budha ? What other places I sud visit at Chengdu ??? Im sorry I ask U too much.... Bcoz I wana prepare my visit next Oct with my friends. We dont use travel agent at all. Thanx U very much.

Thanx U very much Gina 4 Ur nice answer. Wow, that is too expensive to cuddle panda need 300 $ ? When take pictures also same price ??? Maybe I cud take pictures from distance its OKKK he he he.....!!! Coz I wanna go to another city....Danxia n Beijing after Chengdu.
'Ive visited badaling Great wall....I plan to visit again n bring my friend. I think I wanna visit another pass like Mutianyu or Juyongguan ? What U suggest ??? How about the view which place more beautiful than having cable car like @ Badaling ? Thanx U very much 4 Ur answer.

Yeah, it is fine to take pictures in the distance, in which way you don't need to pay the donation fee, but it is a pity to stay close with the cute animal.


Personally, Mutianyu section is more recommended. It is also not far from Jiankou Great Wall, so you can visit them both.

Thanx U Gina. But my question is which 1 more beautiful view from Mutianyu or Juyongguan pass not Jiankou ? I saw from pic there is a river or lake at Juyongguan pass......is that far from enter gate ??? Or we should walk view km brfore we found the river/lake ??? I heard we can use helicopter to get nice viewfrom above....where we can rent helycopter n how much it cost ??? Thanx U again......!!!!
