Change of travel plans during application

Hi,
Say, if I had already applied for a single visit visa yesterday, and decide to change travel plans for a double visit, is it too late to alter my application?

I think so. It can not be changed if the application has already be sent to the Chinese Embassy/consulate Visa Office.
