About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need visa if I would like to go out for sightseeing when I stop there for 16 hours ?

I'm going to travel to NZ through Guangzhou (China). I'm going to stop in Guangzhou in both direction (6 hours and 16 hours). . or If I'd like to go out from the Airport in both case. If Yes, what kind do I need?

Because both stopovers are less than 24 hours, it is easy for you to get a free Stay Permit after arrival at the Guangzhou Airport. Just show them your passport, air ticket for Stay Permit application.
