About:Chinese Consulate in New York

do I need a tourist visa when I arrive into HK to sightsee?

Hello, I'm a US citizen going to PRC for first time. I will teach in Guangzhou for 1 wk and have a Business type for that week. After that week I intend to fly to Hong Kong to sightsee for 5 days then fly from HK back to US after 5 days. And also I'll be staying w/friends there- Do I need to report where and details of with whom I'm staying with?? I'm a little confused and any advice would be helpful.
Thanks!!!!

Nope, you needn' apply for any type for your HK visit. Just bring your valid passport.
