Transportation for Shanghai & Hangzhou

Hi, I'm flying to Shanghai Pudong Airport before making my way to HZ (probably by train), staying at HZ for 3 days before going back to Shanghai for another 5 days.
Q1: Is it difficult to take the train from Shanghai to HZ? Any details I need to take note of?
Q2: From HZ train station, should I take a taxi to my hotel? Heard it is rather expensive to take taxis in HZ.
Q3: When I'm taking the train back to Shanghai, where will be the end station? Or can I drop off somewhere along the way where it is nearer to my hotel (which is near Yu Yuan Garden)?
