Is there a multi entry visa for Uk citizens to travel in China?

I would like to travel between Hong Kong and China to play golf retuning to Hong Kong, I am told that I can only have a double entry but have in the past had a multi entry that permitted me to travel in and out of China more than two times in a six month period.

Your previous mutltiple entry one is helpful if you still have it in your passport. You can have a try if you have documents showing your need of multiple entries such as ticket and hotel bookings, or invitation letter from China.
