About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Same airport entry and departure?

Hi,

I can see that my itinerary qualifies for transit status. Flying in from Helsinki and onwards to Tokyo after just over 24 hours.

I have been advised that the airport has to be the same for entry and departure, currently my itinerary is to enter PVG and depart from SHA.

Are you able to confirm if this is the case?

Hi Emma, how are you?? I have the same sitiation as you. I have been calling the chinese embasy and consulates and no answer. Logic marks that we should be OK since we are not leaving Shanghai... Hope somebody that knows the answer reply to us.

Hi, it is ok to transit via two airports in Shanghai. This is allowed under regulations of this 72 hour free transit.
