which bus am i to take from guangzhou xiaobei to the nearest wharf?

The nearest wharf for Pearl River Cruise is Tianzi Wharf. To get there, you can take bus no. 219 or 10 at Xiaobei bus stop to get off at Nanguan Station, which is around 170m from the wharf then.
