About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Shifting visa type

Currently I have F (3 months), and it expires in january, I want to stay longer, can I renew it for 6 months validity?, or is it possible to change it for student type for 6 months without leaving China?. I'm doing internship and studying Chinese.

It can not be changed to other types as I know. But you can extend it one time with an invitation letter issued by the training center or school. However, the PSB officers have final say to the validity.
