The mild climate and fertile earth made the Yellow River Basin a good residence for Chinese ancient people. The Xia, Shang, Zhou, Han Sui and Tang Dynasties built their capital city along this basin. Because of this, the Chinese civilization was formed in this basin. The river provided Chinese people a good condition for reproducing in generations, so it played an important role in forming Chinese civilization.
