Visa for Ya’an City

Hi, I am a Canadian that wishes to go to china for 2 weeks and will be staying in the city. Is it part of the mainland of China? Do I need a visa if I will be staying there?

It surely is part of China mainland, so if you wanna stay there, a China visa is needed.
