Hello, I am planning to go to Yunnan and I would like to see rice fields in water in Yuanyang and also nice colors in Dongchuan/Lexiagou. What is the best time for both?Is January/February or March a nice period? Is November better than February?Thanks!Nathalie

The best time to visit Yuanyang is from November to next March when the fields are filled with water. The scenery of Dongchuan is at its best from May to June and September to December. January and February are the best time for both places.
