About:China Tourist Visa

Applying for L visa out of home country.

Im currently on a F visa here but want to leave to go to Australia to visit family, however I would like to return to PRC for a few weeks afterwards on a L type to travel. Is this possible and would I be able to apply for it in Australia or possibly Hong Kong?

The new rules require that the applicants in the third country must have legal status (resident permit for employment or study) in the third country. So I am afraid that you might not get it in Australia. But it's possible for you to get one in HK. Someone from GB once did it successfully in HK.
