About:China Private Visit Visa

Is a bank certificate required from both parties (invitee & inviter) for a 1st time S1 application?

Bank statement of the invitee is enough for application.

Thanks, but would you also know if there is a minimum amount of money that they'd want to see on the statement, even if the invitee is going to be a dependent of the inviter, who is the one responsible for the invitee's expenses? Thanks again. :)

If you visit as a dependent, a bank statement of the inviter is required. The bank certificate with at least 100k as well as the balance (6 months bank statement) is required.
