68 Hours in Shanghai and twice Aircraftchange on the way to Thailand/Phuket

I am German and live in TYO . On my way to Phuket I will stop over in Shanghai for 68 Hours before proceeding to Phuket, Thailand. Between Shanghai and Phuket I have to change flights twice but only short time in Transit.
Can I go without visa on the 72 hours Transit exemption scheme?

Sorry, you need to apply for a Chinese transit G visa in advance for this if your flight for to Phuket has transit via other cities in mainland PRC. Anyway, you can confirm this directly with Shanghai Airport at 0086-21-51105100.
