About:Hong Kong Airport Express

Intercontinental Stanford to the HKIA Airport

If I'm staying at the Standford Interncontinental, how early should I leave in order to make my flight? Also, is it well advertised in the airport upon arrival on where to purchase the round-trip ticket?

It is suggested to reach the airport about 2 hours before the departure time, so you may need to leave the airport about one hour to one hour and a half before the departure time.
If you take the airport express, it is suggested to buy the round trip, because it is cheap, otherwise, it is no need to do so.
