About:Chinese Embassy in South Africa

Hi, I'm a South African and have a working visa in china, I want my mother to stay

Hi, my Chinese work permit is vail until Sept 2013, I would like my South African mother to spend a few months here with me. How can I arrange this and what is required? Thanks

I think you made a mistake. Your work permit shoud expire in September 2014, right? You just need to provide the invitation letter and the kinship certificate and then you mom can apply for the S1 (more than 180 days) or S2 (less than 180 days) type in order to stay with you for weeks.

Yes it's Sept 2014 sorry. Thanks for your info. Just to clarify, who must write the invitation letter to my mother? Me or my company that I work for?

An invitation letter by yourself is ok, as well as a photocopy of your passport and residence permit.
