lijiang to shangrila

Question

We are planning 1 night in Kunming , 1 night in Dali, then 3 nights in LJ, then 1 night in Shangrila , finally 2 or 3 nights again in Kunming before we are flying back to Malaysia.When We check out in LJ, We want to visit the tourist spots along the way to Shangrila, then one night stay there, after that will take a bus or night train back to Kunming again. My questions are , is it convenient for us to do the visiting along the LJ-Shangrila trip with our luggage with us ? Looks like we can only book the train tickets when we arrive Shangrila only, is it too late for us?

To be honest, it is not very convenient to travel with your big luggage. It is suggested to book the train tickets online in advance and then pick up your tickets when you reach Shangrila.
