About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

We are visiting China for only 8 days in February 2014, do we need a letter of invite from friends in China?

If you visit for tourism, you can provide round-trip ticket and hotel booking for application. But if you will stay with your friends in their place, an invitation letter from them is required instead of the hotel booking.
