Is it possible to see some of how and what is grown around MY?
i understand that thanks to an irrigation system built thousen years ago Sichuan has produced food since then.

Sure, but to see the whole process, you may have to stay for a long time there to close observe. If possible, stay in a farmer's home in countryside to make it convenient.
